APPLY TEXAS Why students should Pick it? More room to shine- longer sections for acitivities, honors, and community service. Scholarships in one place- many participating schools let you apply in the same portal, at the same time. One essay reused widely- Apply Texas Essay A is also required by UT Austin and Texas A&M even when students apply through the Common App. A free week every fall- Texas Application Week (10/12-18) waives application fees at participating colleges. Good to Know: Deadlines on Apply Texas often land earlier than the same school’s Common App deadline- don’t assume they match! An application you start but don’t submit is deleted after 180 days, so don’t leave it sitting half-finished! Tigers! Rise Up! @CyParkCCMR

common app Why students should Pick it? Goes far beyond Texas — reaches over 1,100 colleges nationwide, so it's built for students weighing out-of-state options too. Write once, send everywhere — your personal statement carries to every school on the platform; only school-specific supplements change. One dashboard — deadlines, requirements, and recommendation letters for every school live in a single account. Room to explain your story — an optional question lets you describe hardships or life circumstances that shaped your record. Good to Know: UT Austin and Texas A&M still require their own Apply Texas Prompt A essay, even if you apply through the Common App. Accounts cap out at 20 schools — a longer list means pairing this with another application.
